Sure you can get other sunscreens, but what goes on your child’s skin really matters. That’s because 70 percent of what we put on our skin penetrates and goes into the body—and the percentage is even higher for children. Here are some of the key ingredients we proudly use in Kid Safe Screen SPF 25.
KEY INGREDIENTS
Non-nano zinc oxide
Non-nano zinc oxide protects against the full UV spectrum, UVA as well as UVB. This 20% concentration works by reflecting UV rays rather than absorbing them. And, it’s highly stable, unlike most chemical sunscreens, which can generate free radicals that cause skin damage.
Green tea/white tea infusion
These teas contain catechins and polyphenols, which provide extraordinary antioxidant support. Green tea is also notable for its ability to neutralize UV rays, thus providing extra, and natural, sun protection.
Avocado oil
This oil is rich and emollient and a great source for vitamins A, B1 & B2, D and E that are necessary for maintaining skin health. The sterolins found in avocado oil have the capability of relieving damaged skin, in particular damage caused by sun exposure.

Skin needs protection at any age, and kids are no exception. The problem with many sunscreens on the market targeted for children is that they frequently contain chemicals like oxybenzone, a known endocrine disruptor. Oxybenzone metabolites have been found in the urine of 98% of the subjects tested, but these are adults whose bodies are better able to handle the chemical load. Children’s skin is thinner than adults and their immune systems are not as well-developed, making exposure risks even more unacceptable.
All MVO sunscreen products provide protection from both UVA (the aging rays) and UVB (the burning rays). Non-nano zinc oxide, our active sunscreen ingredient (vs. nano zinc or nano titanium) is the safest and most effective sunscreen. It's a physical sunblock that reflects UV rays without releasing free radicals. The FDA gives non-micronized zinc oxide a category 1 rating, meaning that it's safe even for sensitive and compromised skins, including kids. Our proprietary non-micronized zinc oxide formulation absorbs into the skin, so it provides superior protection without leaving a greasy or ghostly white film.
Kid Safe Screen has an SPF 25, which is a water-resistant rating that takes into account the after-immersion sun protection factor. The good news is this means that not much zinc oxide washes off, which is especially important when it comes to protecting children.

Shake well before use. Apply liberally and evenly before sun exposure. Kid Safe Screen is so safe and gentle, it can be used around the eyes. Reapply every two hours and after swimming, perspiring, or towel drying. For children under 6 months, consult a physician.
