"In the nearly 2 weeks that I have been using the MV Pacific line, I have seen marked improvement in my skin. Amazingly, I have only had 1 rosacea flare-up in these entire 12 days (!), and it was very minor. As we age skin becomes drier, flakier and more wrinkled, thanks in large part to a compromised water barrier function. Both external and internal factors are to blame: exposure to the elements (sun, wind, cold) and a decrease in hyaluronic acid production. In fact, after age 30 we start producing about 1% less hyaluronic acid per year. And after age 60, our stratum corneum (the outermost layer of the epidermis) is about 30% thinner, making it less plump and resilient.
Pacific Face Serum helps you fight back, giving your skin a much-needed boost. Use it any time of day for all-around skin nutrition. Pacific Face Serum increases the water content of the epidermis by adding ingredients that stimulate production of hyaluronic acid. We also add topical ceramides to improve barrier function and prevent moisture loss.
We believe that using natural ingredients to increase your skin's water content and improve tone and texture is the best way to nourish the skin. Most other anti- aging serums use PEG (polyethylene glycol) ingredients, silicones and butylene glycol. Luckily, they're not particularly harmful; their purpose is simply to provide lubrication and add that highly desirable slip and glide. However, like artificial flavor enhancers in food, they have way more flash than substance. In the long run, your skin benefits far more from natural ingredients with nutritive value than from artificial skin conditioning agents.
