Our Treatment Serum is both safe and effective because we use intelligent ingredients, most notably pantothenic acid, that are key to the safe and successful elimination of acne.
KEY INGREDIENTS
Pantothenic acid (Vitamin B5)
Vitamin B5 works by controlling and regulating the oil production of the sebaceous glands (sebum). This is done by increasing Coenzyme A (Co-A), which increases the metabolic breakdown of oils, mainly sebum, via normal activity of cell physiology.
Niacinamide
With demonstrated anti-inflammatory properties, niacinamide may be of benefit to patients with inflammatory skin conditions, including acne vulgaris. In particular, it blocks the inflammatory actions of iodides known to precipitate or exacerbate acne.
Argan oil
Rich in Omega-6 and 9, Vitamin E, carotenes, squalene, and phenols, argan oil possesses a remarkable ability to nourish, moisturize and improve skin elasticity. It is also known for its ability to control surface sebum, thus eliminating that greasy look.

NO HARMFUL INGREDIENTS
No harmful chemicals (such as triclosan), no waxes that can clog pores, no water that can evaporate and dry out your skin, no drying anti-microbials (such as alcohol) and no nut oils that can go rancid with UV exposure.

The root cause of acne, teenage or adult, is excess sebum production. The body starts to manufacture sebum, a thick waxy substance, at the onset of puberty. It is related to testosterone production, which explains why so many teenage boys go through an acne stage. At times of increased hormone production other regulatory pathways are put under pressure. For example, pantothenic acid (Vitamin B5) is needed to make hormones. It is also needed to synthesize Co- enzyme A, which regulates the breakdown of lipids in the body, including sebum. Nature always prioritizes, so in the event that pantothenic acid is in high demand to produce hormones, Co-enzyme A production dwindles, and with it the body’s ability to break down fats, such as sebum, in the skin. The result is clogged pores, infection and pimples.
A safe alternative to oral antibiotics can be found in topical applications of a serum containing pantothenic acid, which has been demonstrated to clear cases of acne that have not responded to any other treatment. That’s why the pantothenic acid content of our Treatment Serum is 10%. MVO’s Treatment Serum is remarkably effective because it works with nature. By supplying an ingredient which the body needs, and whose lack prevents certain processes from functioning normally, it allows the body to do the work necessary to heal itself.
Treatment Serum increases the supply of pantothenic acid to the skin, thus helping to normalize lipid breakdown. Treatment Serum also contains antioxidants to fight a range of free radicals, the kind that attack the lipid membranes as well as those that damage cell structures and DNA. And, in addition to potent anti-microbials to impede bacterial colonization, it also contains vitamin-rich natural emollients to provide protection, connection and renewal, thereby conditioning your skin and preventing transepidermal water loss. Last but not least, humectants increase the epidermal water content so your skin retains moisture.
When it comes to fighting acne, there is such a thing as too much exfoliation. Most acne treatments rely on exfoliation as the main treatment protocol because most of them are designed for teenage skin. The problem is that while teenage skin is very resilient and can recover from almost any amount of abuse, such is not the case with adult skin. Excessive exfoliation that strips the skin of its protective lipid barrier is not a good idea for any age skin. Loss of barrier function sets up conditions for bacteria to thrive, so the result for young skin may be an increase in flare-ups, while older skin may really bear the brunt of the abuse by becoming thinner and more prone to wrinkling. Using natural ingredients to increase your skin's water content and improve tone and texture is the best, long-term way to care for acne prone skin—at any age.
There are many acne treatments out there, but the paradox has been that if they are safe they don’t work, and if they work, they come with serious side effects. Massage 1-2 pumps of Treatment Cleanser onto dry or moist skin. Rinse well with warm water. Cleanser can also be applied with a soft facial towel or brush to better remove stubborn makeup or dirt. Gently pat face dry.

While skin is still moist, rub a few drops of Treatment Oil between palms and massage onto face. This will help work the product into the skin, stimulating blood flow and reducing pore congestion.
